Started by a backpacker who fell in love with the freedom of exploring Southeast Asia on a scooter. Now helping riders and shops vibe together.
My Story
I'm obsessed with the freedom you get on a scooter. Cruising through Southeast Asia with my dog Scoot riding shotgun, chasing sunsets, finding hidden beaches — nothing hits quite like it.
But after years of riding across Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam, I kept seeing the same problem from both sides. Shop owners were getting burned by tourists who'd wreck scooters and disappear. Meanwhile, good riders like us dealt with sketchy shops and zero transparency.
The shop owners I got to know literally asked me to build something better — a way to protect their bikes while still welcoming travelers. So I built SCOOTSCOOT. A shared blacklist to keep bad actors out, verified riders so shops know who they're renting to, and the Scootie Gang so riders can connect and look out for each other on the road.
It's built for both sides. Everyone wins, and we all get to enjoy the ride.
